For anybody with interest in music, 'Rhapsody Rotorua' is a one-of-a-kind event that shouldn't be missed.

October 15th is the beginning of Rotorua's Bike Festival, a week-long event that celebrates the bike in all of its forms. Participate or enjoy as a spectator everything from races and exhibitions to fun-rides around the town and through some of the impressive Rotorua mountain trails.



In its twist on Oktoberfest, every year in Rotorua the Okere Falls Beer Fest celebrates German beer, food and music. Just 25 minutes from Rotorua, the Okere Falls Store offers the perfect reason for any beer drinker to visit during Labour weekend. The event runs for a week between Monday the 17th and the Sunday 23rd of October.

Showcasing some of the best bands in the country, NZ Polyfest is an annual event in the town that celebrates New Zealand and Pacific Island music. In 2011, Katchafire and Nesian Mystik, two of the biggest names in New Zealand music, are headlining the event. Any reggae fan will love this great reason to visit Rotorua on Friday the 14th of October.
